1992年出生于山东。2011年毕业于中央美院附中;2015年毕业于中央美院中国画学院。现居北京。

Born in Shangdong, China in 1992. Graduated from High School Affiliated to CAFA (Central Academy of Fine Arts) in 2011 and graduated from the School of Chinese Painting at CAFA. Currently works and lives in Beijing.

大的图像轮廓平整,细节模糊于深色色块中,就像是一个捉迷藏游戏,怕你看见,又怕你看不见。弱化了纵深的空间,是为了尽可能使物体成为自身信息的载体,也尽可能剥离物的实用性,试图使其足够独立去承载情绪。三缄其口的思考,是宣言的开始。
桌布的褶皱是充满秩序性的,基本规律容易提取,但也可以更自由,因此大多数时间是在自由与秩序性的平衡中挣扎向前。
每个人对于型体都有天然的不自觉的私人感受,对一个事物反复地画是一种试验,不断试验才能更靠近自己。每一张画既是结果也是过程,同时这个过程也使整个表达更加完整。
推进的过程,像是一个触手,越界后马上收回,再继续越界、探索,直至一个新的开始。也像是很多枝杈缓慢生长,有某几支会茁壮。有趣的是你并不知道未来会在哪里,但你又隐隐觉得一切都将发生,并在某个时刻猛然察觉,原来这些已经发生,一直发生,永远发生。

Artist Statement:
The outline of the large image is smooth, while the details are blurred among those dark color blocks. It is like hide-and-seek, afraid that you will see it, but also afraid that you will not. The depth of space is weakened to make the object a carrier of information of its own, also to strip the practicability of the object as much as possible, trying to make it independent enough to carry emotions. Silent thinking is the beginning of the declaration.

The folds of the tablecloth are in order with basic laws easy to extract. But they can also be free as well. Therefore most of the time are spent struggling to move forward in the balance between freedom and order.

Everyone has their personal feeling naturally about the shape and form. To paint an object again and again is a kind of experiment, and only by constantly experimenting can you get closer to yourself. Each painting is both a result and a process, and this process also makes the whole expression more complete.

The process of advancement is like a tentacle, which retracts immediately after crossing the boundary, and then cross it again to explore more until a new beginning. It also seems that many branches grow slowly, and some of them will thrive. It's interesting that you don't know where the future will be, but you feel vaguely that everything will happen. At a certain moment, you suddenly realize that it has happened, it always happening, it will happen forever. / Wang Cao  2023.2.5

1990年生于成都,中国。从事绘画创作,现工作生活于上海和成都。

Born in Chengdu, China in 1990. Work with painting, currently works and lives in Shanghai and Chengdu.

张杨彪的创作从早期的油画到近期的丙烯喷笔,多取材于日常静物或生活片段,他注重创 作与客观现实的连接,用绘画这一主观表达来承载自己当下的状态与思考。对于艺术家来 说,描绘的主题也许简单,但最终画面的呈现却可以丰盈。他用喷笔在覆盖石膏底的布面 上呈现出细腻,柔和却极富有层次的画面效果。日常的琐碎仿佛笼罩了一层诗意的美感, 失焦的画面质感更吸引人向前一步,仔细观看。在欣赏时能够直观地体会到喷绘手法带来 的“胶片摄影”的颗粒质感,透过干净和谐的颜色传递一种氛围美,驻足画前凝视,静物的 边际感被削弱,感官上的静谧安宁却被无限放大。张杨彪的作品多次被上海、北京等地的 重要藏家收藏。

Zhang Yangbiao’s works range from oil paintings to acrylic airbrushes, mainly drawing from everyday still life or daily fragments. He pays attention to the connection between creation and objective reality and uses the subjective expression of painting to carry his current state and thinking. The subject may be simple for the artist, but the final picture can be rich. Zhang Yangbiao used the airbrush to present a delicate, soft, layering picture on the canvas. The daily item seems to be covered by a layer of poetic beauty; the out-of-focus texture attracts viewers to step forward and observe. It's intuitive to perceive the granular texture of film photography brought by Zhang's technique, which also brings a hazy feeling. As the margin is weakened, the tranquility is infinitely magnified. Important collectors have collected Zhang Yangbiao's works in Shanghai, Beijing, and other places.

工作室画廊2016初成立于上海。作为上海最早支持国际艺术家驻留项目的商业画廊。目前经营着两处实体空间,画廊空间专注于艺术家的工作呈现与推广;工作室空间作为画廊空间的学术引擎,聚焦于非营利性的艺术项目与研究记录。工作室画廊不是简单意义上的画廊空间+工作室空间;而是一种对艺术生产和消费机制的重构。通过对艺术家工作状态的深入观察,探究其艺术创作的真实动机;努力协助艺术家把工作中产生的价值转化成共识。

自成立以来,工作室画廊除了举办专业性的展览,还发起了多个话题性的艺术项目:基于艺术家工作过程记录的《艺术家讨论》;基于艺术家驻留工作汇报的《OpenStudio》;基于艺术家创作交流以及评论的《艺术现场》和《Critique Room》。



As the first gallery in Shanghai to provide international artist residency, Studio Gallery was established in early 2016. Since then, we have continued to support the wide-ranging potential of emerging and new talents, complemented by innovative activities to nourish and enrich the local artistic environment.

The gallery operates two physical spaces. The gallery space locates in the heart of downtown Shanghai, continuously organizing topical exhibitions. While the studio space serves as the academic engine of the gallery space to explore and transform the value generated from artists’ practice into consensus.

With a bold and cutting-edge designed gallery space, we aim to create an inspirational dialogue with the audience through diverse public programs, including topical exhibitions, Artist Talk, Critique Room, etc.
